The Stearns County Human Services THRIVE Committee worked to bring awareness and support to community members facing housing instability and/or food insecurity through a project called the “The Little Lifeline.” The THRIVE Committee in Partnership with the Great River Regional Library in St. Cloud, launched the Little Lifeline community donation cabinet.
What is the “Little Lifeline”? The Little Lifeline was officially launched at the St. Cloud Great River Regional Library. This box is in the front entryway of the library and is structured to operate similarly to the Little Libraries boxes you see around the community; boxes filled with books that people can freely take from and contribute to. The Little Lifeline will contain non-perishable food items, hygiene products, cold weather items, and other items that would be useful for people experiencing homelessness or food insecurity.
The THRIVE Committee restocks the Little Lifeline regularly as we receive donations.
